Interested in joining one of Canada’s top performing asset managers? We’re looking for a forward-thinking and solutions-oriented Manager, Product Transitions for an existing vacancy on our Product Transitions team. As a key member of the Transitions Management Team, you’ll oversee cross-functional activities required to ensure products and investment mandates are operationally ready, including Prime Broker and ISDA counterparty onboarding, global market openings, beneficial ownership reporting, third-party FX arrangements and account activation. Working closely with partners across the business, you’ll ensure activities are well coordinated, dependencies are effectively managed, and operational requirements are met to support timely and successful outcomes. Beyond day-to-day oversight, you’ll play an important role in strengthening how the team operates, driving continuous improvement by solving complex problems, streamlining processes and leveraging technology, AI and automation to improve efficiency and scalability. This is a highly collaborative leadership role for someone who combines strong operational judgement with a broader business perspective, brings people together to resolve challenges, and leads change to deliver results. Our offices currently operate on a hybrid model with a combination of in-office and remote working days throughout the week.
What You Will Do
- Oversee product transition and operational readiness activities across global funds and segregated account mandates, including account activation, global market openings, beneficial ownership reporting, counterparty onboarding and third-party FX arrangements.
- Develop trusted partnerships with investment management teams, trading, operations, legal, compliance and other internal teams, as well as external counterparties and service providers, to coordinate complex activities and deliver effective outcomes.
- Take initiative, anticipate roadblocks, navigate competing priorities and bring the right people together to solve complex problems and drive activities through to completion.
- Provide clear and timely updates on critical paths, operational readiness, outstanding requirements, dependencies and potential risks.
- Challenge the status quo and identify opportunities to simplify processes, strengthen controls and improve efficiency. Leverage technology, AI and automation to develop scalable solutions and improve how the team operates.
- Set clear priorities, empower team members to take ownership, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous learning, and professional growth.
- Ensure operational, counterparty and regulatory requirements are effectively managed, including KYC/AML documentation, account setup, trading permissions and applicable reporting obligations. Establish effective procedures, controls and reporting to provide visibility, manage priorities and support operational excellence.
What You Bring
- 7+ years of experience in investment operations, asset management, banking, fund administration or a related financial services environment, with exposure to global markets, investment products and operational readiness.
- Demonstrated ability to lead people and initiatives, influence stakeholders, build strong relationships and bring teams together to achieve shared goals.
- Strong judgment and the ability to navigate ambiguity, anticipate challenges and develop practical solutions to complex issues.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and clearly communicate complex issues and recommendations.
- A proactive, accountable and improvement-oriented approach, with the ability to see the bigger picture, embrace change and technology, and translate business priorities into effective outcomes.
