Intern, Asset Mix & Trading

CC&L Private Capital Ltd. is seeking an Asset Mix Intern to join our PC AMIX team for a minimum of 4-months (September – December 2026).

You will be a member of a collaborative, highly detailed and analytical team, responsible for executing and monitoring asset mix trades, supporting the implementation of client investment strategies, and ensuring operational accuracy across a wide range of discretionary portfolios. You will work with Portfolio Managers, Wealth Advisors, and Trading teams to deliver investment execution 

What You Will Do

  • Trade Execution & Oversight 
  • Execute asset mix and cash flow trades in accordance with client SIPs (Statement of Investment Policies) 
  • Support onboarding and restructuring of client portfolios 
  • Work with various teams on reconciliations, client cash flows, pooled fund trading, trade issues, and ad hoc requests 
  • Assist in reconciling flagged accounts and tracking transitions to enhanced strategies. 
  • Manage ad-hoc requests and projects 
  • Participate in internal process improvement initiatives and documentation updates 

What You Bring 

The Asset Mix Intern position is geared towards students in their third/fourth year of an undergraduate degree with a focus on Finance, Business Administration, Economics or a related field. Or individuals early in their career who are eager to learn and gain experience. We are seeking ambitious and detailed oriented people who are interested in making an impact at CC&L. 

In addition to the above, the successful candidate will have: 

  • At least one previous work term in a related role 
  • Knowledge and interest in capital markets, financial concepts, and account types (RRSPs, TFSAs, LIRAs, FHSA, Taxable accounts, etc.) 
  • Proficiency in MS Suite (Outlook, Word, MS Teams), and especially Excel 
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage time-sensitive tasks under pressure

The salary range for this position is $43,000 - 52,000 CAD annualized. The salary range provided reflects the base salary range for this position as required by legislation. Further questions may be directed to the HR team during the interview process.
